The End of the “Cliff Edge”: Why We Completed the Hunt ADR Mediator Pathway

It is London Arbitration Week, and while the events and panels are excellent, a significant strategic move for Hunt ADR happened in a quiet coffee shop with Roger Levitt.

Roger is a highly respected mediator (The Barrister Group), a Hunt ADR Assessor, and a CMC Fellow. We were discussing the single biggest structural failure in the mediation training market: The Post-Course Void.

I find this void personally frustrating because I see the fallout in my inbox almost weekly.

I am constantly contacted by people who have paid good money to be trained by other providers. They have the certificate, but they are adrift. They contact me asking if Hunt ADR can help them get the observation spots or mentoring that their original provider promised but didn’t deliver.

Worse still, I have had people tell me that their original training provider actually told them to contact Hunt ADR for support. Think about that – competitors are effectively admitting they cannot support the careers of the people they just trained, so they send them to us.

It creates a “cliff edge” for new mediators. You are accredited, but you have no experience, no network, no safe place to practice, and no mentor.

We built the Hunt ADR Mediator Pathway to dismantle that model.

Today, I am proud to announce the final piece of the puzzle: the Post-Course Mediation Mentoring Programme, led by Roger Levitt.

With this launch, [I think] we are now the only provider in the UK offering a continuous, end-to-end lifecycle for professional mediator development.

Here is how the 3-Stage Pathway works:

1. TRAIN: The Foundation & The Tech It starts with our 5-Day Mediator Accreditation Programme. We focus on high-quality, practical training that prepares you for the reality of civil and commercial mediation. Crucially, this stage is powered by Meddi, our exclusive AI mediation super-resource. Meddi isn’t just for roleplays; it is an intelligence layer that runs through your training, offering instant feedback and deep-dive analysis that human tutors simply cannot provide in real-time.

2. OBSERVE: Real-World Access We don’t just tell you how it’s done; we show you. Through our strong relationship with The Barrister Group, we are able to include the Mediator Observer Programme. We auto-enrol our graduates to shadow real commercial mediations – the “gold dust” experience that new mediators usually struggle for years to find.

3. REFINE: The New Standard (Mentoring) This is the new keystone. Once you are accredited, the learning shouldn’t stop. Through our new Mentoring Programme, you can now book dedicated time with mentors like Roger Levitt to review your development, refine your technique, and strategise your career path.

Why This Matters If you are looking to train, ask your provider one question: “What happens on day six?”

If the answer is “Good luck,” you are looking at the wrong provider.

The Mentoring Programme is available now as an add-on when booking your 5-Day Accreditation.

Don’t just get qualified. Get ready.
